Five-year-old Hamza from Beit Lahia in the north of the Gaza Strip was a spoilt, curious and very smart child. He was dreaming of going to school. He liked to play with mobile phone games. He bought new clothes for the Eid event, but he did not get to wear them.
On 16 July 2014, a nearby mosque, Othman Bin Affan Mosque, was targeted by Israeli warplanes. Hamza was sitting in his father's place in the mosque. Hamza was killed in the attack. "I feel a deep grief every time I go to the mosque because I remember my son, Hamza," his father says.
