At approximately 6:00 am on Thursday 20 February 2014, Israeli gunboats opened fire at the Palestinian fishing boats which were in the Gaza sea north and west Al Waha area- near the maritime borders- west of Beit Lahyia in North Gaza district.
No injuries or causalities were reported.
According to Al Mezan’s filed investigations, a number of Israeli rubber gunboats pursued two Palestinian boats west of Beit Lahiya, and opened fire at them.
As a result, the fishermen abandoned their work and left the area.
