At approximately 3:40 pm on Friday 24 January 2014, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened fire at a group of Palestinian young men and children who were near the borders in Bouret Abu Samra in north Beit Lahya in North Gaza district.
As a result, Bilal Sameer Ahmed O’waida, 19, was killed.
According to the medial sources in Kamal Odwan hospital, Bilal died after he sustained a bullet wound in his chest.
According to Al Mezan’s filed investigation, Owaida is resident of Beit Lahya.
It’s worth mentioning that the Palestinian young men and some families usually go to the border areas in holidays for picnic and some of them approach the border line.
