Short Link:
At approximately 4:00 pm on Thursday 5 December 2013, Ahmed Mohammed Abdel Rahman As-Sous,12, was lost while he was with his father collecting plastics and junk from the solid waste dump southeast of Wadi Gaza village (Johr Ad-deek), about 300 meters away from the eastern borders between Gaza Strip and Israel.
In his affidavit to Al Mezan, the child’s father Mohammed As-Sous, 46, stated that at approximately 4:00 pm on Thursday 5 December 2013, his son Ahmed was helping him in collecting plastics and junk from the solid waste dump.
His son was about 10 meters away from him when two young men came to the solid waste dump with a huge bulldozer.
They were working in the space between him and his son, so the bulldozer blocked the vision and he couldn’t see his son for 15 minutes.
After that he looked to the place where his son was standing but he didn’t find him.
He then looked for him in the eastern side of the solid waste dump and looked at the eastern borders where he saw two jeeps belonging to the Israeli occupation forces and two soldiers coming out from them and the searchlights lit because the weather was cloudy and rainy.
He kept watching them for 15 minutes, and then he went back home expecting that his son would be there but he wasn’t.
He went back to the solid waste dump again and continued searching for 3 days but to no avail.
He informed the police and the International Committee of the Red Cross about his story.
The boy was still missed when this piece of news was being published on Tuesday 10 December 2013.
It’s worth mentioning that As-Sous in resident of Al Moghraga and he left school two years ago.
