At approximately 9:00 am on Monday 26 August 2013, internal security apparatus summoned Dr.
Khader Attiya Mehjez, 60, to its office in Gaza city.
In his affidavit to Al Mezan, Mehjez stated that he went to the apparatus office and they informed him that the summons was not stamped by internal security apparatus and he is not wanted for them.
In his was home, he received a phone call and someone ordered him to present himself at an office near the Public Prosecution office.
At about 12:30 pm on the same day, he went there where he was ordered to enter a hall and to set on a small chair for few hours.
He was then interrogated about his political opinion on his Facebook account and about his participation in a program on Tamarod protest movement on Al Ghad TV channel.
Then interrogators covered his face with a piece of clothes and he was then taken to another place where he was beaten and verbally abused.
At approximately 8:00 pm on the same day, the apparatus released him.
