At approximately 4:15 on Wednesday 1st May 2013, Israeli navy vessels opened fire on Palestinian fishing boats, located at a distance of 2.
5 nautical mile offthe coast in Deir Al Balah.
The navy’s sporadic fire lasted for 5 hours, thus forcing the Palestinian fishermen to leave their livelihoods and withdraw to the coast.
