On Saturday 27th April 2013, at approximately 3:00 am, Israeli naval vessels opened sporadic fire on Palestinian fishing boats at a distance of about two and a half nautical miles off coasts of An Nusirat, al Zawayda and Deir al Balah. The intermittent shooting lasted till 7:00 am on the same day forcing 35 fishing boats to withdraw from the sea.
