At approximately 2:30 pm on Wednesday 22 February 2012, a force from the Internal Security Apparatus arrived at the house of Yousif Mohammed Abdel Qader Abu Maghaseib, 42, in Wadi As-Salqa village, southeast of Deir Al Balah.
The force searched the house and confiscated a computer, some documents, cellphones, and a walkie-talkie.
The owner of the house was not in his home when the Apparatus searched it.
The force withdrew from the house after leaving a summons to appear at its office in Deir Al Balah on Thursday 23 February 2012.
Abu Maghaseib was detained when he went to the Apparatus office.
He was still in detention when this news item was being published at 2:30 pm on Thursday 23 February 2012.
Abu Maghaseib is an officer of the former Police Investigations Unit, one of the security arms of the Ramallah Palestinian Authority which is now inactive in Gaza.
