At approximately 17:20 on Saturday 3 December 2011, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened sporadic fire at a group of Palestinian shepherds who were herding animals on land near the Gaza International Airport in the Ash-Shawka village, east of Rafah.
No casualties or injuries were reported, but the incident scared the shepherds and forced them to abandon their work.
