At approximately 10:50 pm on Thursday 10 August 2011, unknown persons detonated an explosive charge behind the Abu Samak stores in the Al Joura area of as-Saftawi neighborhood in the northern Gaza Strip's town of Jabalia. No injuries or damages were reported. The police arrived on the scene immediately and opened an investigation into the incident. The perpetrators and the background to the incident have remained unknown.
