At approximately 8:15am on Friday 8 April 2011, the IOF fired two artillery shells at a group of young Palestinian men who were near the At-Taqwa mosque, southwest of the Gaza International Airport, southeast of Rafah town.
As a result, four persons including a child were injured.
Al Mezan identified their names as follows:
Yousif Muneer As-Soufi, 16;
Abdel Hadi Jum’a As-Soufi, 20;
Mahdi Jum’a Abu ‘Adhreh, 19; and
Mahmoud Fayiz Abu ‘Adhreh, 21.
The last two persons sustained critical injuries and were referred to the Shifa Hospital in Gaza city.
