At approximately 3:15pm on Friday 11 February 2011, the dead body of Mahmoud Zaher Mar'y, 7, was admitted to Kamal Odwan Hospital in the town of Beit Lahiya in North-Gaza district.
According to medical sources, the child was died due to hanging.
According to the police, the child hanged himself and there was no suspicion of criminal acts in the incident.
Al Mezan's field investigations indicated that the child's family is from the middle-class in Jabalia refugee camp.
The child was playing with his siblings in their house, which is located near the At-Tawba mosque in Jabalia refugee camp, in North Gaza district.
The child left them and went up to the roof of the house and hung himself by a rope.
The child did not suffer from any mental disorders.
