7:30am on Wednesday 7 July 2010, the Gaza police positioned at the customs checkpoint, which connects the Gaza Strip with Erez crossing, prevented the distributers of three daily newspapers, Al Quds, Al Ayiam and Al Hayia Al Jadida, from reaching the coordination office at the Civil Affairs Commission which is located at the previously called checkpoint 5/5.
The distributors were prevented from passing Erez to bring the newspapers.
The Israeli occupation forces had informed the Palestinian side that they would allow the entry of the newspapers.
On Thursday 8 July 2010, the three distributors went to bring their newspaper but they were prevented again by the Gaza police.
