One June 12th at approximately 6pm, armed persons kidnapped five citizens who were on their way from Rafah to Khan Younis. In a separate incident, at around 6.20pm on the same day, armed group broke into the house of Dr. Salah Al Rantisi located in Sheikh Nasser area in Khan Younis, damaged his car and fired gunshots inside the house. Further, they broke into his clinic despite the patients present, kidnapped Dr. Salah and took him to unknown location. At approximately 7pm, detained patients and Dr. Salah were released.
