On 18 January 2007 at app. 8:30m, Kamal Al Batshiti, 32, was killed after being shot in chest during his brother's wedding party in Khanyounis, two children were also injured and hospitalized. The accident was due to shooting fire in the air, a habit that caused a number of casualties in the Gaza Strip.
