Clashes between Hamas & Fatah kill one, injure two, and damage 4 public facilities

Violent clashes broke out between Fatah and Hamas in Beit Hanoun on 10 March 2007 at app.

20pm, following gunfighting in the area close to Omar Abdul Aziz Mosque in Beit Hanoun town.
Clashes broke out in different neighborhoods and continued until today, 11 March 2007.
According to Al Mezan's information, the clashes resulted in the killing of Hussein Al Kafarnah, 26, a member of the Executive Force, and the injury of 8 others.
One of them remains in critical condition.
Houses were either bombed or destroyed while public facilities were attacked such as the Third Battalion headquarters linked to the National Security Forces, Force 17's headquarters and an under-construction training site linked to Fatah.
Further, the Fatah headquarters in Beit Hanoun were set on fire.
It was reported that tension still prevails in Beit Hanoun where gunmen remain deployed at crossroads and in the streets.
