At approximately 5.50am today, Wednesday 1 August 2007, four masked gunmen shot and killed 38-year-old Talal Al-Abed Abu Safiyya. The killing tool place just after the victim left his house, which is located near Uthman Ibn Affan mosque in Al Twam neighborhood in the north of the Gaza Strip. Abu Safiyya, who is initiated and led the Guevara Brigades, was targeted while he was in his car heading the beach; a short trip he makes daily. Neither the killers nor the motives behind the murder has yet been identified.
