At approximately 11am, on 6 September 2007, unknown gunmen kidnapped Sami Kheil, 44, from his metal workshop in Ad-Daraj neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
Sami was taken to an unknown destination.
Several contacts were made by his family to inquire about his whereabouts, but unfortunately their attempts were of no avail.
At approximately 9.
am, on 14 September 2007, Sami's family received a call from an unknown person who asked them to come to the former Intelligence Apparatus building "Al Mashtal", in order to take Sami.
His brother, Osama, headed to Al Mashtal and received him.
Sami's health was badly deteriorated, and signs of torture and bruises were covering his body.
He was admitted to the intensive care unit in Al Quds hospital, in Tal Al Hawa neighborhood, and then was referred to Israel to undergo medical treatment.
