At app.2pm on 12 November 2007, the police sat up roadblocks at the southern entrances of north Gaza governorate following the completion of the festival organized in Gaza, for the commemoration of the 3rd anniversary of the death of President Arafat. Thousands of Fateh supporters from north Gaza headed to the city to participate in the festival. However, the police intercepted and searched their car in their return and confiscated flags and posters for President Arafat.
