12:30 am, on 21/5/2008, a number of armed masked men headed to Mazen Abu Zeid's home, the secretary of Khan Younis Youth Club, in Khan Younis refugee camp (Al Hawoz area).
They forced him to hand over the keys to the club.
In a similar incident, more armed men headed to Mohammed Al Qerm's home.
He is a member of the Club's Board of Directors.
Mazan Abu Zeid told Al Mezan's field worker that he saw bandanas on the heads of the armed group, with Al Qassam Brigades written on them.
They demanded them to hand over the keys, without giving a reason.
It is noteworthy that Khan Younis Youth Club in central Khan Younis is a club for sports, culture and social events.
The club was established in 1960 and spans an area of 27 dunams.
It includes a football stadium, many sports halls, a building for wedding parties, and a number of commercial stores.
The club also provides services for civil institutions and for a large number of youths in Khan Younis.
The Board of Directors consists of 11 members, nine elected and two appointed by the club administration.
The Board elections are held every three years.
The last election was on 25/2/2008, in the presence of a delegate from the Ministry of Youth and Sports and a number of lawyers and supervisors from Khan Younis Municipality.
