IOF Enters Eastern Gaza City, Arrests Four and Bulldozes Homes, Two Factories and Other Properties

4:00pm, on 24/5/2008, eight IOF military vehicles entered from Nahel Oz Crossing into eastern Gaza City, reaching the eastern area of Al Shaja'ia neighborhood.
They surrounded a number of homes in the area and arrested ten male residents.
After a short time, six of them were released while four remain under detention.

Two IOF bulldozers raized lands in the area and destroyed 180 square meters of a three story building.
The building belongs to 65-year-old Sohail Al Shawa.
The IOF also bulldozed two rooms (50 square meters) that were used as resorts.
The two rooms belong to 55-year-old Abd Al Karim Al Arer.
A small trailer, a 1200 square meter tile factory, and a 180 square meter stone and brick factory were bulldozed also.

IOF drones fired one missile at a group of young men gathered on Al Sha'ef Street in Al Shaja'ia neighborhood near the electricity company.
As a result, six of them were injured with different wounds.

10:30pm, the IOF withdrew from the area.
