Al Mezan Center for Human Rights condemns Israel's continued extra-judicial assassinations in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT), which show brutal disregard of civilian life.
Such acts constitute war crimes prohibited by international law and the Fourth Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Times of War.
Al Mezan Center for Human Right appeals to the International Community to intervene to safeguard the lives and human rights of Palestinian civilians.
The Center, in particular, calls upon the High Contracting Parties of the 4th Geneva Convention, who bear a moral and legal obligation to ensure Israel's compliance with the Convention in all cases, to take all the necessary steps to guarantee its respect in the OPT.
