At 11pm on Friday, 3 August 2018, Israeli forces seized “Return Boat”, one of the fifth Freedom Flotilla. The boat was carrying 12 activists from different countries who seek to show solidarity with Palestinians blockaded in the Gaza Strip. According to documentation by Al Mezan, the boat was 40 nautical miles into Palestinian territorial water when it was circulated by Israeli warships at 11pm. Israeli media sources later reported that the Israeli forces seized the boat to Ashdod seaport.
