At 7pm on Saturday, 4 August 2018, Israeli forces used live ammunition and tear-gas canisters against Palestinians joining the Great Return March demoinstration in southeast Burij refugee camp in the Middle Area. A 23-year resident of Burij was shot with live fire in his lower limbs. Other demonstrators suffered from breathing difficulties and received the necessary medical treatment by field-based medical teams. The Israeli shooting continued until 8pm on the same day.
