At 2pm on Monday, 30 April 2018, Israeli forces located on the eastern borders in Malaka area in Al Zaitoun neighborhood in eastern Gaza city opened fire and launched tear-gas canisters at protesters who assembled near the border fence to reaffirm their right of return to their homes from which they were expelled in 1948 and 1967. One Palestinian were injured. Medical sources at Al Shifa hospital described his wounds as moderate. The shooting continued until 7pm on the same day.
