At 6a.m. on Friday, 29 December 2017, Israeli naval forces opened fire at and shelled a number of boats carrying Palestinian fishermen sailing off Al Waha area in western North Gaza governorate. At one point, Israeli forces chased a Palestinian boat. The fishermen had to stop their work, they escaped the sea in fear. No casualties were reported.
