At approximately 11:00 pm on Tuesday, 28 June 2016, Israeli gunboats opened fire at Palestinian fishing boats which were in the sea of Al Sudaniya area northwest Jabaliya in North Gaza district. An Israeli naval vessel opened water cannons against four Palestinian fishing boats which were about five nautical miles off the coast. As a result, the engine of one boat belonging to Khamis Salim Taher Abu Sadeq, 54, resident of Al Shate’ refugee camp in Gaza, was damaged. Fishermen abandoned their work and sailed to land. No injuries were reported.
