At approximately 9:40 am on Tuesday 17 June 2014, Israeli gunboats opened fire at Palestinian fishing boats which were in the Gaza sea north and west Al Waha area- near the maritime borders- west of Beit Lahiya in North Gaza district. The Israeli gunboats surrounded many small boats and opened sporadic fire at them for almost an hour. Fishermen abandoned their work and left the area. No injuries were reported.
