At approximately 6:20 pm on Sunday 17 November 2013, Israeli gunboats opened fire at Palestinian fishermen boats which were in the Gaza sea at the northwest of Waha area_ near to maritime borders_ west of Beit Lahya in the North of Gaza district.
According to Al Mezan’s filed investigations, one of the Israeli gunboats approached a Palestinian boat, and shot directly towards it.
The Israeli soldiers ordered two fishermen who were on the board of the boat to get down to water and to swim towards the Israeli gunboat.
The Israeli forces arrested them.
Al Mezan identified their names as follows:
· Ammar As’ad Mohammed Al-Soltan, 20;
· Mohsen Akram Dyab Zayed, 24.
Both of them are residents of As-Salateen neighborhood in Beit Lahya.
They were released at approximately 3:00 am on Monday on 18 November 2013.
According to families of detainees, the IOF confiscated the boat and their nets.
