At approximately 10:00 am on Saturday 28 July 2013, Israeli vessels patrolling Gaza sea opened fire at Palestinian fishing boats off the coast west of Al Sheikh ‘Ijleen area, southwest of Gaza district.
The Palestinian boats were about six nautical miles away from the coast when the Israeli boats opened fire at them.
The Israeli boats pursued one of the Palestinian boats and opened fire at it causing damage to its front.
The boat is owned by Sa’eed Mohammed Abu Riyala, 65.
