At approximately 00:40 am on Wednesday 6 June 2012, an Israeli aircraft fired a missile at an agricultural area in the vicinity of the Al Bader factory, near the water desalination plant in the As-Sudaniya area west of Beit Lahiya in North Gaza district.
The attack injured two people, who were buried in sand and struck by rocks thrown up by the impact of the explosion, which left a deep hole in the ground.
Medical sources at Ash-Shifa and Kamal Odwan Hospitals described the injuries of one as critical.
The factory and a house belonging to Sa’eed Otham Irmilat were partially damaged.
According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, the attack was unexpected and struck a coastal area nearby summer vacationers who were enjoying the beach.
The explosion was huge and women and children were terrified.
