In the evening hours of Thursday 29 March 2012, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested three Palestinians who were in the access-restricted area (the “security buffer zone”) near the separation fence between the Gaza Strip and Israel, in the area east of Rafah.
Al Mezan has identified the three as: Alaa’ Ibrahim Suliman Abu Sneima, 14; Bassam Talal Hussein Abu Sneima, 15; and Fadel Jumaa’ Salman Al Qadi, 17.
All three are residents of the village of Ash-Shoka, east of Rafah.
The families of the detainees had no information about their sons’ disappearance.
Al Mezan’s Legal Assistance Unit followed up on the case and was able to inform the families that they are being detained at Ofek prison near Netanya.
