At approximately 8:30 pm on Wednesday 18 January 2012, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested three persons, one of them a minor.
Al Mezan has identified them as follows:
· Abed Rabbo Suliman Abu Snema, 17;
· Salah Mousa As-Soufu, 18; and
· Rami Fared Abu Ta’ema, 19.
In their affidavits to Al Mezan, the detainees’ relatives stated that from the evening hours of Wednesday they had not been able to reach their sons.
Later it was revealed to the International Committee of the Red Cross that the three persons were being detained at Askelon.
According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, the three individuals were arrested in the “security buffer zone” east of Rafah.
