At approximately 3:30 am on Thursday 27 October 2011, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested two Palestinian fishermen.
Al Mezan has identified the two as follows:
· Mousa Ibrahim Ismail Abu Jayyab, 42; and
· Ahmad Omar Ismail Taneera, 21.
Both men are from Deir Al Balah district.
According to the affidavit of an eyewitness, while he was working in his boat about two miles off the shore of Khan Younis, south to Dier Al Balah, accompanied by a number of other Palestinian fishing boats, an Israeli helicopter gunship arrived in the area, followed by an Israeli naval vessel which began circling one of the Palestinian boats.
Firing was heard in the area, then another Israeli vessel sailed towards one of the Palestinian boats and hauled it northwards.
