Three Persons Killed in Tunnel Collapse on Gaza-Egypt Border

At approximately 4:00 pm on Sunday 25 September 2011, wastewater which had leaked into a tunnel near the As-Salam neighborhood on the Gaza-Egypt border, south of Rafah, caused a collapse in which three persons working in the tunnel died.
At approximately 6:40 am on Tuesday 27 September 2011, a civil defense team recovered the bodies of the three victims.
  Al Mezan has identified them as follows: ·         Firas Ahmed Ayesh Ash-Sha’er, 17, from Khan Younis; ·         Fadi Mustafa Abed Ar-Rahman Ash-Sha’er, 17, from Rafah; and ·         Anwar Eid Mohammed Ash-Sha’er, 22, from Rafah.
  Jihad Khalid Ismail, 22, sustained injuries as he was trying to rescue the three persons killed.
  He was admitted to Abu Youssef An-Najjar Hospital, where doctors described his injury as moderate.
