The Arab Organization for Human Rights (AOHR) condemns the Israeli crimes that took place yesterday evening at separate borders with Arab occupied territories in Gaza, Golan Heights, and south Lebanon.
As a result, 15 protestors were killed and hundreds were injured while they were asking for their legitimate right to return to their land.
The large demonstrations, which marked the 63rd anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba (Palestinian ‘catastrophe’ of 1948), are clear evidence that the Palestinian people in and outside Palestine are determined to exercise their right to return to their land and their right to reparation in accordance with the General Assembly Resolution 194.
The AOHR asserts that the right to return represents the core of the indispensible, legitimate, and Inalienable Palestinian rights.
The AOHR and other human rights organizations have always challenged attempts to undermine this core right.
The AOHR calls on international community to bring to an end to its failure to act on its obligations to implement the resolutions of international legitimacy, which form sole basis for any effort aimed at ending the decades-long conflict in the region.
The AOHR emphasizes that the efforts of international community must be directed towards ending Israel’s occupation, which is at the core of this conflict.
The AOHR also asserts that any focus on other, less essential, issues means that the crime of prolonged occupation will continue.
