At approximately 6:30pm on Thursday 21 April 2011, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened fire at Palestinian farmers who were in their field near the separation fence between the Gaza Strip and Israel.
The farmers were in the Al Qatbaniya area, southeast of the northern Gaza town of Beit Hanoun when IOF opened fire at them.
As a result, Kamal Hasan Abdullah Al Hessi, 46, was injured.
According to medical sources at Kamal Odwan Hospital, Al Hessi was hit by a bullet beneath his armpit that exited from his chest.
Farmers were terrified and abandoned their farms.
