Members of Fatah's revolutionary council were prohibited from leaving the Gaza Strip to attend the Council's meeting in Ramallah, which was scheduled to be held on Saturday 24 April 2010.
On Wednesday 21 April 2010, Mr.
Salah Abu Khatal, a member of Fatah's Back up and Regulation Committee, asked the representatives of Gaza’s political parties and government to intervene to obtain permissions for nine members of the Council to leave Gaza to attend a meeting in Ramallah.
Al Mezan identified the the names of the members as :
· Mrs.
Amal Hamad,
· Mr.
Hashim Abdel Razeq,
· Mr.
Abdel Hamid Al Masri,
· Mr.
Ismail Abu Shamala,
· Mr.
Tahrir Al Haj,
· Mr.
Usama Al Fra, and
· Mr.
Abdullah Abu Smhadana.
On Thursday evening 21 April 2010, Mr.
Khatla was informed about the travel prevention order.
