At approximately 10:00 am on Thursday, 8 September 2016, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened sporadic fire at a number of farmers and bird hunters who were eastern the Abu Safeyya area, eastern Jabaliya in North Gaza district. As a result, farmer Mahmoud Mousa Abu ‘Amsha, 18, sustained a bullet wound in his left hand what caused the amputation of his thumb. Medial sources at the Indonesian Hospital described his injury as moderate. According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, the IOF targeted birds’ hunters who were about 200 meters far from the borders, while the farmer Abu Amsha was about 400 meters far. Farmers and birds’ hunters left the area.
