At approximately 10:30 am on Friday, 1 August 2014, an Israeli war plane fired a missile at tens of people who were fleeing their homes in the Al Tanour neighborhood in eastern Rafah. The group was on Al Oroba Street, in the east of Al Jnena neighborhood. Seventeen people were killed in the attack, including Anas. He was four years old at the time of his death.

The family did not wish to speak with Al Mezan’s field worker about Anas.
