16-year-old Mohamed Bassam Al Serry from Khan Younis was in tenth grade in secondary school. He worked part-time in a restaurant to assist his family financially. “He was close to me, he used to confide in me,” said his mother while crying.

On 19 July 2014, Mohammed and his friends were sitting in the street chatting when they were targeted with an Israeli missile. Mohammed and his brother Yahiya, 20, were killed.
