“On Tuesday, while we were sitting in our house, a missile from an Israeli drone struck near our home and the children rushed out to see what had been bombarded. A while later, an Israeli warplane launched another missile at the area. My brother met me and told me that my son was only injured, but we received a phone call from the hospital asking about the color of Mohamed’s shirt, and then we knew that he was killed,” his mother recalls.

Fourteen-year-old Mohamed from Khan Younis in the south of the Gaza Strip liked football. He was an FC Barcelona fan. “During his adolescent period, he changed his mind very frequently. He said he wanted to travel abroad and that he wanted to change his school. I promised then to buy him a car when he got a driving license,” said his mother.

Atta, Mohamed's brother, who is three years old, used to play with Mohamed and has many good memories of him.
