Name: Mahmoud Khaled Mousa Abu Haddaf
Date of birth: 15 February 1999
Date of death: 8 August 2014
Fifteen-year-old Mahmoud from Khan Younis in the south of the Gaza Strip loved playing football. He was a member of his school’s football team. His ambition was to be a doctor. He was obedient to his mother and always did what she asked him to do. “He was excellent at school, tidy, and organized. He used to take care of his belongings and his things,” said his mother.
On a day of truce during the 2014 bombardment on Gaza, Mahmoud went to the store to buy drinking water with his cousins. On his way back, a relative of his saw him and asked him to bring them some water. An Israeli drone targeted them with a missile and Mahmoud died immediately. His body was scattered all over.
Apparently his aunt had asked him that day not to go out, but he did not obey her and he went outside the house.
