Seven-year-old Maram was a very pretty and organized girl. She put effort into her looks and her hairstyles.  She helped her family. She was feeling jealous of her brother Zeyad and would compete with him on everything. Her father encouraged her to get high marks at school. “She liked to play with her toys and she named her toy Lamiaa as her mother,” her aunt said.  

On 21st August 2014, the whole family was riding a motorcycle cart, heading to their land to carry out some works, when they were targeted by Israeli forces. Three of them were immediately killed, while Maram and others died later from their injuries.
