Ali from Jabalia refugee camp in the north of the Gaza Strip was an only child. He was his mother's friend. He was an outstanding student. His ambition was to be a doctor like his father. ‘He liked football, Karate, and swimming,’ his mother says.

On 30 July 2014, Ali was very sad because many of his friends were killed earlier. He was sleeping on a sofa in his house. An Israeli shell hit the house. ‘Ali was instantly killed,’ added his surviving mother. Ali was 15 years old at the time of his death.
