One-year-old Abdel Karim from Jabalia in the north of the Gaza Strip celebrated his first birthday a month prior. He was the first child of his parents. His grandfather taught him how to kiss as a greeting.
Abdel Karim was killed in the Balata family massacre along with his mother and nine other family members. “They were killed when their house was targeted by Israeli missiles,” said his grandfather.
