At approximately 7:30 am on Wednesday 29 October 2014, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened fire at a bird hunter who was near the borders north of As-Siyfa area northwest of Beit Lahiya in North Gaza district.
As a result, Saqer Akram Yousef Al Ghoul, 21, resident of Al Shate’ refugee camp sustained a bullet wound in his left thigh.
Medical sources in Kamal Odwan hospital described his injury as critical and referred him to Al Shifa hospital in Gaza City.
According to Al Mezan’s field investigation, Al Ghoul was 300 meters away from the border hunting birds when he was injured.
