Al Mezan Condemns the Assault on the Al Dar Magazine Office

At approximately 1:20 am on Sunday February 1, 2004, the office of the Al Dar Magazine was exposed to an assault by unidentified persons.
The equipment of the office was sabotaged as a result.
According to the statement of the Editor of the Magazine, Mr.
Hasan Al Kashif, the staff were under shock when they returned from the Eid Al Adha break on Tuesday 2 February morning to see the office and its appliances destroyed.
‘The aim of this is sabotage and not robbery.
There is nothing missing’’, said Mr.
Kashif.
The date and time of the attack was identified was by the last piece of news received by the Magazine from the French Press Agency.
Al Mezan Center for Human Rights condemns this assault, which constitutes a deliberate infringement of the freedom of speech in the OPT.
The Center calls upon the Palestinian National Authority to conduct feasible investigations and bring the criminals to justice.
