Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at Erez crossing arrested Mohamed Kamil Rajab Abu Owda, 34, resident of Al-Mawasi neighborhood in Rafah. Mohamed’s father told Al Mezan that at approximately 8:30 AM on Monday, 28 March 2016, Mohamed headed to Erez crossing in order to travel to Musallam Specialty Hospital in the West Bank where he was supposed to undergo an operation to treat his spinal disc herniation and spinal stenosis. At around 9:30 AM, Mohamed was summoned by an Israeli officer. At approximately 5:30 PM, after waiting for many hours, IOF informed Mohamed’s father that his son had to stay there and asked him hand over his entry permit and leave. When he asked about his son, he was told that Mohamed will join him in half an hour.
Mohamed did not return and his fathered asked the Palestinian liaison office about his son’s fate; he was informed that his son has been arrested by the IOF.
