At approximately 9:30 am on Saturday 18 August 2012, the police found the body of Waheed Ramadan Ahmed Al Ghalban, 42, in an open area near the Abu Jarad training site south of Gaza City.
The body was admitted to Ash-Shifa Hospital.
The police opened investigation into the incident.
According to the information available to Al Mezan Center for Human Rights and the affidavit of the victim's father, at approximately 2:00 am on Saturday 18 August 2012, four persons dressed in civilian clothes riding a black Chevrolet arrived at his son’s house in Ma’an area east of Khan Younis and asked Waheed to get in the car.

His family then could not contact him.
He added that at approximately 9:30 am on the same day, they received a phone call from the police informing them that Waheed's body was found near Netzarim evacuated settlement south of Gaza City and he was admitted to Ash-Shifa hospital.
Medical sources reported that the victim had minor bruises under his mouth.
The body was referred to forensic examination.
